Turning an agency around
In 2003, I started working with ScopeMedical, a small Medical Communications agency that was loss-making and struggling to find its place in a busy market.
I worked closely with the senior management team to develop a new target audience, marketing and business development process, supporting collateral and a structured approach for outreach.
Two years on, I had created a significant swell of new opportunities that had helped to reverse the fortunes of the agency; I left to start my own consultancy in 2005 and consulted for them throughout 2005 and 2006.
The business which was acquired by Huntsworth PLC in 2010 for an initial consideration of £4.6 million in cash.

Zero to hero
In 2006, I was approached by a startup called System Analytic who had heard about my success with ScopeMedical and had a vision to create a physician intelligence resource for pharmaceutical clients.
I worked hand-in-hand with them to develop tools, systems, messaging, a targeted list of prospects and a structured approach to business development and outreach.
In year one, they reported a £300,000 profit; and I continued to work with them over a number of years. I went on to further develop content and processes, to implement technology and advise on product positioning and messaging - supporting them at international congress and in overseas meetings.
In 2015, WPP's Sudler & Hennessey acquired a majority stake in the business and I handed over to them.
